Fwiw, I'm getting ads for McDonald's, and Walgreens.

Neither of which I frequent, and don't search for anything that would relate to either. Especially McDonald's.

If you drive by a McDonald's or Walgreens regularly, Google will pick up on it and send you ads trying to get you to go into those places.

Doubt if it helps, but I have location tracking “only when app is in use” for weather & maps only. I also “go dark” & pay cash on hunting & fishing trips. Oops... I’ve said too much already.
