The pension amount increases when working casual?

To be clear, when working as a casual before you retire, all time worked counts toward your retirement just the same as a seniority employee. After you retire I guess it varies by Teamster local.

I know RULES RULES RULES , but really upper management & union needs to rethink the rules on no part-time drivers , because we can't hire drivers and they are using shiny wheels to move loads , so why not explore the option of hiring PT company drivers to work 2-3 days a week ? Just pay them the higher non-union pay scale with no benefits ! Point is the freight has got to move one way or another ! Maybe time for company & union to think outside the box ????

The union balked, gave up thousands of employees, so Yellow went out and bought Saia (a non-union carrier). Way to negotiate guys.

Not exactly correct. Yellow bought Preston Trucking Company. Preston owned Saia and a carpet hauler called Reeves
