That's also how I look at it. Look at the decline over the last 7+ years. If we repeat that same decline or continue to sink at this pace, this country is toast.
I haven't seen this big of a mess in my lifetime. Our country is being torn apart one fiber at a time.

I don't remember which state this was in but last year an intoxicated guy put a firecracker up his rectum & had a likewise intoxicated buddy light the fuse. Yes it is time to pass meaningful firework legislation that takes fireworks out of the hands of idiots.

Seems to me regulations were a lot tougher on fireworks years ago. I gues it depends on the States you live but many did not allow much more than sparklers, then some states would allow firecrackers and bottle rockets now they sell mortars .
It's gone over the line just like gun sales one day they will cut it back down to sparklers and lady fingers

I don't do fireworks because I don't think I can afford several hundred for a few minutes of bang. However after looking at the drive ways & yards of those drawing government assistance I see the remains of cannons & other large fireworks. Some neighbors behind my house that draw government checks for several children start fireworks the week before the 4th & are still at it tonight.
The local news reported that several hundred people are in emergency rooms for injuries involving fireworks each 4th of July in this state.

Iowa has sparklers and snakes. Everyone including the cops buy them in South Dakota and Missouri though. Everyone likes blowing stuff up!✨

You are so right. Both parties are hell bent on making the U.S.of A a third world country. Stand by for the race war, where the Blacks, Whites, Chicanos, and Islamists will all war against each other. America is a thing of the past, I am just glad my time is about over. Guess, its time to arm ourselves and get ready for what our forefathers enacted the second ammendment for, a fight against a tyranical government. Plus just to stay alive. The old west will be back soon, with almost all packing heat.

Same here.
Sounds like we need the govt. to get involved and pass some "common sense" fireworks legislation. Start out banning the big mortars, then move on to the m-80's, then get those black cat firecrackers, and eventually ban those damn sprinklers.(since one kid did fall and get the wire stuck in their eye this year.)

One of the best private (neighborhood) fireworks displays that I've ever been to was in one of my old neighborhoods. Pretty much everything shot up in the air, which was illegal at the time. The guy who hosted the display was a city police officer, there was also two state police officers who attended, and one Dept. of Natural Resources officer that attended.
Again........all illegal fireworks.

I give my kids and their friends "well wishes" for their future quite often. Our current adult generations have failed our youth and their futures more than we will ever realize.
