Yellow | working laidoff drivers

Does any other terminal have to get special permission to work laid off drivers.We have plenty of freight to work us, but they won't and the freight dose not get delivered,its backing up and falling off the dock.They tell us that they cannot get permission to work us. :rant:

Because, the insurance costs to much to reactivate a person. They rather work people to death before YRC would reactivate someone. YRC is going to try to get whatever they can get out of the people who have been working who haven't been laid off, first. Before they have to decide to call people back to fill in. It is all part of the modern day slavery, now a days.

Remember, this isn't Roadway it is YRC. Like theres really a difference.

When you only work two days a week they don't pay insurance, nor work you as a casual at a different terminal they don't pay insurance

Around here, if you work less than 3 days, they still pay part of the weekly premium. It takes 3 days to get the entire week of insurance paid for.

[/quote]It used to be where someone only had to work one day a week, everything was paid for. It is amazing what people choose to give up these days, and that was before the 10-15% wage cuts were offered and accepted.

Ah oh, look whats on the T V. The illegals want their amnesty. Now if that happens their may even be another wage cut, or YRC will start attacking everyone's paid vacation next.

@211 They are working any laid off dock/yard guy that is signed in. But they refuse to bring anyone back off of layoff. There are so many overtime whores @ 211 that they don`t need to bring anyone back. Our #1 guy works 12/13 hours a day 7 days a week, With over 40 years of service. What a piece of ::
