“It is not left to rank-and-file Teamsters to drag Yellow’s sinking ship to shore,” O’Brien said. “We are not going to agree to informal offers for new wages in the hopes of getting a fair contract next year when YRC Freight and Holland can’t even figure out how to pay their bills right now.”

lol sacrificed to keep them alive.... What a joke.

I am a believer in everyone’s opinion But you are wrong in even saying that. You must new to this game or blind to the last 15 years of Yellows operations

It's just a troll. I've seen several of this losers posts.
out of all the LTL's out there... why is yrc constantly struggling.... you think the teamsters are negotiating with any due diligence on what is best for YRC over all?

All you see in the chat is that it is yrc fault yrc fault.... with the union not taking an onus for its part.

Because it is Yellows fault. Every person who gave back to this company has lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in wages and benefits. That’s no exaggeration, fact. Management took that money and the 700 million the government gave them and squandered it. This one is totally on them.
They made millions off the backs of their employees. Now when it’s time to pay up they say they have no cash.

Squandered the $700 million? How stupid! Do some research and you might learn that most of the money went to new tractors and trailers and other equipment. :duh:

Been at Yellow 30 years. Putting us out now, like this, just bullshit. Yes the company is run like ::shit::. It pays my bills, feeds my kids and it is a good job. I like working here . The teamsters gave nothing, the Yellow workers have. The Union needs to represent us, negotiate and let the people who work for Yellow decide, unless of course the out of touch Union leadership agree to pay our bills for us.

“In short, Teamsters’ leadership’s obstruction of One Yellow directly caused Yellow’s liquidity crisis and Yellow’s need to implement cash-conservation measures, including its benefit funding deferral request,” Yellow said.

Where is the guarantee that the One Yellow is the cure for this companies ills, they have tried this before several times and failed each and every time.

Do you have a better idea? Yellow wants to consolidate and reduce redundancies in operations. The want to modify the archaic classification system. Consolidation will close some terminals and WILL eliminate some nonunion and union jobs as will modifying classifications. Both will reduce the costs of operation. That's what COOs do.

They have never attempted to fully integrate the various regionals into one company till now. It's their one last chance to streamline the whole operation. Will it work? We'll never know unless they get the chance to do the integration. It is shortsighted on the part of the Teamster's Union to interfere with that final attempt considering how few unionized companies in LTL are left. I think O'Brien is more interested in looking like a Hollywood bad-ass than in preserving Union jobs/companies.

So your answer is to put 22,000 teamsters out of work? Can i send you my mortgage bill? This lis not a game. Right now i have a good job driving for Yellow. If you get your way I will be out of a job come Monday. All because O'Brian has a deep hatred for Yellow. CEO's come and go. This company goes on. I am all for a strong union, just not a stupid one.

They should have left those companies alone, yellow has destroyed all of the profitable companies they have bought. They have been bailed out so many times and have done nothing but combined companies and sold off terminals. This is the end of the road for Yellow. R.I.P
