Yellow blames Teamsters leadership for negotiating in ‘bad faith’

Lying and blaming again.
Incompetent.
I would think for a simple change of operations ...no negotiation would even be part of it.
But they know it's ridiculous.
If we're gonna have everybody vote...
Then we need things that we want too...give and take...not just us give all the time.
That involves the whole contract and we have another year for that....
Now they want it a year early....with their selfish desires ready to go....and ours not even submitted or thought of yet.
They're creeps.
A 259 page contract needs rewritten.
Not happening like this.
All supplements are violated under this COO.
Zip codes is needed and with a little talking they'd probably get that.
THAT would be a change of operations. THIS, as is...is willful abuse of our relationship.

Shysters.
Liars.
Blamers.
Greedy thieves.

Anything I'm missing?
Yeah, his mother wears army boots

Yup.... we are not chicken...

What employees gave positive feedback? If anything we are losing so much costumers to FedEx and saia and Estes. Yellow heard employees asking for pension back why don't they focus on giving their employees a better and stronger contract then they will hear positive feedback.

This guy Reifsnyder said Yellow has met with more than 100 locals with positive feedback from employees. I ask what locals and what feedback did they get to let allow them to think this change made sense. Who are these people? Enlighten us all
And WTF kinda name is Reifsynder❓🥴

Because we don't vote on COO.
You are correct. It's never been done before. But it's not specifically forbidden. A non-binding membership vote gives the IBT negotiators a real sense of what the members, whose jobs are in jeopardy, really think. All they are hearing now is the hardliners who are entrenched in their positions. Unions are to represent all the members. Why not hear their thoughts and let that influence the decision?
Yellow is in a death spiral. Doing nothing cannot be an option.

First things first, if the teamster want to negotiate, they need to show up wearing pin stripe suits and carrying violin cases. No need for concessions.
I said O'Brien should tell all million plus members to max out on unsecured loans by the same banks Yellow owes.
And if they threaten to close is, he can read them the total taken at the meeting.
Close us and you don't get any of that nor what Yellow owes.

Maybe tell everybody to stock up on guns and ammo with them unsecured loans.
The world is getting crazy.

It's real simple. If they want to completely disregard the contract they need to renegotiate a new contract that implements their new rules and addresses the worker's short comings of our current contract. The IBT is 100% correct. We don't vote on COO's. If they say they can't make it without this, so be it. We were all looking for a job when we found this one.

Stay strong IBT!

Enjoy your life, enjoy your union pension, enjoy your social security checks and let the present union officials and membership decide what's best for them. It ultimately is their choice and not retirees like some of us.

That is precisely what I said. Have a non-binding vote to let the negotiators know what the membership wants. Strictly an informational vote not to be made public. Yellow need not know the result. The negotiators have the ultimate say. The union is a republic not a democracy.

You know as well as I do COO's were never and will never be voted on. If Yellow truly wants their company to "survive in this non-union environment" sit down, open up the remainder of the contract and negotiate instead of spewing out the same old stories of survival by givebacks. People are tired of the same old stories and seeing the companies debt get larger and larger. The banks love Yellow and so does the revolving door of new management every couple of years. They make money while the employees get the shaft. I got tired of it 13 years ago and left and I am sure my Teamster brothers and sisters are at the end of their patience and hope in this company. Sad, 4 big leading companies brought down by one greedy corporation that wanted to take over the trucking industry.:17113:
