Yellow blames Teamsters leadership for negotiating in ‘bad faith’

Leo lives about 15 minutes from me now. Go figure its an exclusive gated community.

Did I refuse the money, of course not! I took $35,000 in back payments, rolled to an IRA and paid no taxes on it.
The taxpayer should not be paying $20.43 (3500 a month for 12 months divided by 52 weeks) per hour for my pension they had no part in negotiating. Posters here blast corporate welfare but have no problem taking welfare for unions. At the very least, there should be a reduction on people like me, who are getting pension benefits from the orphan companies.

this is jus how pathetic a place can be , placing blame on the IBT for their failures... concessions for about 15 years and .7 billion dollars and they still beg, publicly

Shoot I wish I can work for a pension (golden 80) not 401k. Must be nice retired like you. My pops is retired too right before they paused the pension in 09. My oldest bro just had few years in yellow when he had to take a huge hit.

Is the entitlement mentality of free healthcare and life long pensions greed?
Is 5 weeks vacation, 10 paid sick days and 10 holidays greed? Add it up 9 weeks, more than 2 moths, of paid time off each year.
Is it greed to demand to be paid to sit on your butt while the company pays someone else to string your set?
Does this COO reduce the workforce? Yes, it does. That is what every COO does. 22,000 Teamsters at Yellow. Take some casualties and protect the vast majority of the jobs. Do nothing or refuse to bend and wait for the day Yellow can't make payroll.R

We took the hit on the pension, we endured the 15 percent pay cut, we worked through Covid and our UNIONS carried the cost of our healthcare during Covid because Yeller didn’t have the money. We had 35000 teamsters employed here a few years ago down to 22000 now. We gave them new job classifications every COO they wanted. Take some casualties? We have.

When your freezing your ass off in a non heated terminal just driving a forklift as you say 10 12 hrs a day not knowing when your going home $35 an hour is peanuts. LTL city guys unload trucks load our own trucks to peddle then empty it EVERY DAY in all kinds of weather !NON union sissys trucks ODL and PYLE are all loaded ready to go when they come in and jump in and go ! You make it seem we sit in front of a laptop all day ! Thats a job that isnt worth SH*T ! And if our benefits weren’t included in our compensation no one would work here ! The mentality now is driving a truck is just a job not a career like it was when we started 30 plus years ago. And greed is buying USF for a billion $ and when it goes wrong taking money from your union employees to fix you arrogant mistake ! So shove it !
