If what they wanna do is cut out lay downs to possibly save money. For the life of me I can’t figure out why you would spend so much more money relocating drivers to far away places nobody wants to live. I will use Salt Lake City as an example. Other than the Montana’s you can damn near turn every single lay down into a turn almost overnight. You just redirect Las Vegas drivers, RENO drivers, BOISE drivers. DENVER might be a challenge because most of the line drivers in Denver have quit. And then how are you gonna explain the wait time you’re going to pay. The dog has a very difficult time getting freight out on the street and rolling without paying wait time. Now your meat will also be paying wait time. Last time I looked we’re paying around $70 a night for a hotel room with $16 food allowance. That’s $86. That’s roughly 3 1/2 hours worth of wait time on one set of trailers. Now you’re gonna take 3 1/2 hours And split it between two drivers. I know for a fact that Salt Lake meeting in Carlon Nevada with the RENO driver has almost always had at least one hour wait time. Because for some reason they don’t understand Pacific time zone in mountain time zone. Lol good luck

Sorry where would I find those ? This local has an app with the NMFA and the Western supplemental agreements. Is that what your talking about?
They said that they would have Reddaway work rules. I wonder if the supplemental is what would have those work rules?

That is correct but why would a non union operation have work rules.

One of the outfits around here have a 7 am starting time. But they can't punch in until the inbound trailers are against the dock. Some snowy days it's 10 or 11 am before they even show up.
The company does buy coffee and donut's.

They always had work rules, even non union. They had seniority and used it for bids and vacations. It wasn’t unlike it would work if there was a union. It also wasn’t a free for all like some think.
 
Question :
How can you work under Reddaway work rules that were not ever bargained for ?
They are trying to get rid of the past practices at the Yellow/Roadway barns...Historically , at least in the south, Holland past practices have been minimal.

For instance, at 402Atl, the Yellow past practices are 4 pages long.
If they make a Holland the surviving terminal, then those practices can be argued to go away.

It didn't work in the customer changes, but we had Tyson in there....imho
