ABF | YRC contract agreement reached

Without knowing the details, BTW, Everyone needs to push what Pa. Teamsters did. ReDo their Locals ByLaws and make it so Employees are part of Bargaining!! No Info blackouts.. Non interested parties ( those who are milking it at age 80) have no give a crap about you!!!
With that being said.. 2/3 will not vote and Hoffa will impose, regardless of whats in this agreement. Most new employees dont want the Union, just its benefits.
If this agreement does not require them to pay fully into our Pensions. Then We all need to revolt.. How many Billions have they not paid and how many Billions is your Fund underfunded? Mije insolvent in 2025.. That means BUSTED, And our Union is going along with it, expecting Govt to bail out what YRC couldnt do..

As I've said before,........neither the Government, or Big Business,....wants working people to have the kind of political power..(money/stocks..)...that a Defined-benefit, Multi-Employer pension plan,.....answerable to the membership, through the Trustees..(supposedly..)...has......

Both groups could care less if each of us working schlubs had our own little "pile" of money in a defined-contribution fund....But what scares them is when a politically active Board of Trustees decides to do...."social engineering".....with hundreds of thousands of shares of stock held in pension funds,........and financially punish a company engaged in anti-Union or anti-worker activity......by massive stock sales, or other strategies......

So, therefore,......don't look for any sort of....."rescue"....of pension funds. Big Business is lobbying heavily to have defined-benefit funds die on the vine, as it were,......and Government,....post "Citizen's United" ruling,....only responds to what the Big Donors want.......

Certainly not working people........We don't have the cash to get Congress' ear.........

Funny thing is.........Government representatives and employees all retire on.........Defined-Benefit Plans..........
What's Good for the Goose,.....ain't apparently ...Good for the Gander........
