THAT MUSLIM who we are at war with, pathetic

Could you be MORE clueless? To repeat proven nonsense like this, I can only conclude that the removal of your brain would result in an INCREASE of your IQ.

I thought ABF wasn't part of the NMFA because I thought they wrote their own contract like UPS. And I'm not sure if you know our TM or not because they took out management out of Greeley, CO and gave it to Billings, MT but you could still know him.

You are right, I didn't know they moved your management to Montana. I don't know your new TM. But there are a lot of people at Yellow, management and labor, that love to plant rumors just to see where they go. I have personal friends who come up with beauties just for the fun of it. It is hilarious to see how Teamsters will take the bait hook, line and sinker.

I just think it would be hilarious for the only NMFA carriers to buy out the biggest anti-union carrier that I know of.

Plymouth, I agree with you. I think it would be great if YRC bought Conway under the same card-check provisions they have with Reddaway and UPS has with former Overnite employees.

I'm sure some Reddaway employees are wondering about that now, although I don't think that had anything to do with closing those terminals.

But there are a couple reasons I don't think this makes sense. First of all, if they are having so much problem getting their regional division to work now, why would they add more to it? And even more so, YRC could buy every remaining non-union carrier in America, and it wouldn't make them too expensive for DHL. That company is mega-enormous.

The sad part of this that I am seeing here in the DFW area is this: I know (personally) of at least 4 USF employees who USED to work at either Yellow or Roadway.
They were discharged for one reason or another (which I won't go into details about here). I would not give them a SNOWBALL in H&!! chance of being considered for being hired by either Yellow or Roadway now.

WHERE DO THEY GO FOR WORK?!?!?!?
if they got themselves discharged from one or both of the other union companies they will probably find the same thing happening wherever they work.where do they go? try going to a mirror.:hysterical:

I agree they are mega-enormous, but I talk to a DHL driver everyday and we were talking about this about a week ago and he told me that DHL doesn't have the money everyone thinks they do. He said they are in a lot of debt to get where they are now and he's really not sure if they will ever get out of debt. But, then again I don't know how much truth there is to that story either.

I will not argue with a DHL employee about the solvency of their company, but I did some quick research. YRC earned 9.6 billion dollars in 2007. UPS earned 47.5 billion in 2006. FedEx earned 35.2 billion in 2006. Using the most recent conversion from Euros to dollars, Deutsche Post World Net did 92 billion in 2006. DHL is a division of Deutsche Post. That means, if my calculation are correct, they are as big as the other three combined.

Unfortunately I wouldn't even know where to start researching this information. But the first time I ever heard about a connection between YRC and DHL was when YRC bought Roadway, which was in late 2003, if memory serve me right. The regional labor rep, who was subsequently fired for being drunk on the job after he had been demoted to linehaul dispatch, told me that. At that time there was a lot of talk about UPS buying Yellow. The labor rep said he thought the better scenario was DHL buying Yellow because Deutsche Bank was financing the purchase of Roadway, and DHL was part of Deutsche Bank. Well, as we all know now Deutsche Bank and Deutsche Post are two entirely different companies.
