Well the Local B.A. came in to Holland terminal this week and said YES it's TRUE all new hires & guys that not up to Full Pay will now go to FULL PAY next week !!! So guys working there 2 months will be same pay as guys there 20 years ! Total B.S. and no pay increase for the guys that been there 20 years . So WHY did the union sign off on this ? Got no respect for union anymore after letting this B.S. happen !!:fingure:

It's a UNION, Wong. Should only be ONE scale, like it was for decades. Don't you wish well for your new brothers???????

Though I was not employed by YRC or any of its affiliates when the vote was cast to add progression to the NMFA, two tier wages was one of the many reasons I voted NO on the first proposal of the last MOU. For you to speak in derogatory terms of any member receiving due compensation, reflects one of the many reasons recruitment has become so difficult. Brother/Sister wishing ill will on another member is sad, selfish and pitiful.

Nay, rejoice that YOUR 15% is being returned to the fold, albeit not necessarily to you directly.

And plus Union ONE scale ??? that has never been true , 710 has always been the highest paid !

Answer me this, a guy with 20 years experience loses his job when his company shuts the doors then he gets hired at another company and starts at progression making less than a guy with 3 years experience who's already on that job and that's OK in your pathetic, jealous, little mind? Give me a break.

they claim they need skills while they treat their skilled labor like red headed stepchildren.....so question is how can they keep skilled labor if they harass their skilled labor?

Keep? We have tier 1 job security, in that it is almost impossible to be terminated.

As far as how we are treated, that is up to each individual to accept.

Those that choose to stay, for the most part, do so freely.

Those that pass on the skills and knowledge are the worthy ones, if they be red headed or stepchildren matters not.

well from my experience with yrc, i heard black employees called ⓇⒶⒸⒾⓈⓉ slurs and i resigned my position from hearing this....i do not make waves but i also do not tolerate ⓇⒶⒸⒾⓈⓉ remarks at the workplace....i told rank and file and they said "im sorry"....why should teamsters have to listen to ⓇⒶⒸⒾⓈⓉ remarks....why should they continue to work for a company environment that promotes racism

is that one of the perks of tier 1 job security, spouting ⓇⒶⒸⒾⓈⓉ stuff at work and nothing done about it but "sorry"?

Where do you come up with that crap? You would absolutely be fired for ⓇⒶⒸⒾⓈⓉ remarks! Smh! Racism, sexual harassment, and fighting are all zero tolerance at YRC companies and ABF. Lawsuits almost guarantees that.

That happened to me at Preston, going to Yellow.

yeah well i resigned and i have no part with yrc anymore, i just hope the ⓇⒶⒸⒾⓈⓉ remarks stop where i worked cause i am sure it will continue

and if anybody on these forums does not believe me you can pm me and i will give you the phone number to my local and you can have a talk with my business agent about the letter i faxed him yesterday and about the content of that letter and yes i have the original copy of that letter

Not siding with anyone here,SAC. But at the terminal where I am, verbal harassment by employees, profanity, refusing work assignments angrily, and a hostile work environment, exists on a daily basis...And nothing is done about any of it. I know the trucking industry has always had a "rough edge"' to it,but this goes beyond that...

No I don't because I had to work 2 years to get to Full Scale !

Had you started to work in 55, you would have been full scale right off the bat!
Bet someone planned on you being president then, not an old truck driver.
