is it fair to use spotters to watch road/line drivers without informing drivers that they plan to do so?
in addition they claim that all drivers agree with this practice. i for one do not. there are already many monitoring devices and methods in place to do just that. i would not be so negitive on this if, they had informed us before the started this program and changed the speed policy i should say modified.is it fair to use spotters to watch road/line drivers without informing drivers that they plan to do so?

Well, they reflect MINE!we are watched by thousands every day, and trust me I know, weather you are with in the guidlines of the law or not and the four wheeler or big truck desides you are in the wrong and he calls in on you, You have damaged FedEx's image and will be delt with as so. Just remember customer is first and always right and that person that calls in on you is or could be a customer, and your word does'nt mean squat. This is just my thoughts and do not reflect the thoughts of everyone.

Do you know of anybody that has been nailed for this. What speed policy are you talking about?? I heard of drivers going over 80 MPH and that is only 5 mph over the 75 mph speed limit in Nevada, Utah and Colorado. I thought most cops would give 5 mph over speed limit. Any comments???

If you think you are being followed simply dial 911. Tell the operator some shady slime ball is following you could be a truck hi jacker could be a terrorist, don't forget to mention there might be a weapon involved (I carry a knife like most drivers ,I didn't say who had the weapon) and sit back and watch what happens. You must defend our customers freight from harm at all costs!!!

If they can afford to send spotters to follow us why cant they afford to send a helper with me when I have residential deliveries and no lift gate. I had a pool table a couple weeks ago in 6 pieces weighing 1300 pounds the homeowner and I had to carry it up from the street. As far as following me on my route, I dont mind at all. I do an average 20 stops p&d every day, barely have time to take lunch most days.
