XPO | Ladies and Gentlemen lend me your eyes

Don't mean to butt in--i'm a victim of the same thing from another company;like everyone says, best of luck to all involved but you will get through it!! Have good friends in lima and ft. Wayne terminals, any word on those 2 being downsized?

lima was 1 of the terminals that closed some of the guys are going to ft wayne some are going to other close facilities.

ft wayne lost their reship, I only heard of it effecting the greeters & some of the supervisors.

It affected the building maintenance guy and all the shop guys at XFW but who gives a $hit about those guys. That is what I hated about working at $hit-way, the people behind the scene get no appreciation. The mechanic their are good, no, great people and damn hard workers. All that is said is that we do nothing but somehow all of the doors and dock plates work, the facility is clean and the drivers just trash the maintenance guys (building and mechanics).

from a former driver and former xsl employee, good luck to all you guys out there... just out of curiousity, anyone know how the smaller mo terminals are weathering this storm? Rolla and Columbia especially?

maint. employees

:hide: Yes it was. Worker was up high on a scissor lift, some how it toppled, killing him. Now the lawyers say that since the maintenence people are not certified in all the different type of jobs they do, their positions should be eliminated. They have been. We will be using outside contractors....won't this be a nightmare? :smilie_132:

this was a tragidy thet should have been avoided by the company, that tries to cut corners everywhere to save a dime and winds up costing ,(unfortunatly) a human life shame on con-way for this attitude. we have one of our drivers do odd jobs around the terminal and might i add pretty shotty work i will say.
