I hear next week the combine seniority and bid list will be out. any one hear anything on this? like how many people they will need for the dock and p&d. :popcorn:
 
nothing offical but we were in the last change before the 1 on 12/22/08 it looks like we will have 120 give or take when we are combined.
 
what I just heard was 140 to 150, just found out, but I need to check out one more soure to be sure, roadway is doing about 800 too a thousand bills a day and i beleive yellow is somewhere around 500 to 600 bills. don't thank 120 people can cut get
 
We had our meeting this morning, the`ve been preshifting all day.The seniority lists get combined jan 26th .From the 26th till March 1 we`ll be picking up each other`s freight on separate pros and separating freight for linehaul (Roadway hauls Roadway, Yellow hauls Yellow).On March 1st every thing is combined(linehaul,city).Their supposed to be posting a bid next week ,after K.A. gets back from vacation and can review the bid.The first layoffs will occur when they merge the lists and seniority comes into play.The second layoffs will occur on March 1st (26 from the city operation).Seniority list will probably be under 120 guys.

You are exactly right.So if you have any kind of job you might want to think twice about coming back,of course you already know this.What I think really stinks is if a guy does`nt comeback when he gets his letter of recall he gives up his 5 year callback rights.

Inregards to merging the lists before march 1 st, that is a seperate change from the march 1st change.And you are correct the first layoffs will affect the yellow guys, mostly and the second layoffs (which involve the -26 from the city) will knock out the roadway guys who come back.Not a very good situation anyway you slice it.
 
Those of you that are lucky enough to have found a job in these economic times and are on the bubble of being recalled and possibly laidoff 4 weeks later think about this? Are you and your family more happier now? Do you enjoy seeing your family? Those with children think about this you only get one shot of seeing your kids grow up! Under the strings of Yrcw the puppet master keeps you guessing if you work or not, if you are lucky and have a bid endless hours on friday nights. Having to deal with mismanagement,(thats why we are where we are at ) cold nights on the dock ,having to deal with the stray cat and the stupidity of K.A. I am not trying to keep you from coming back just asking you to think about your decision in the game of life YRC style you know the rules. Its up to you if you want to play or not? YRC has great bennys but they come with a price YRC first your family second! Good luck in your decisions they are not easy ones and GOD BLESS
 
i am with the wis kid on this one we are looking at 1000 to 1300 bills a day and i don't see 120 guys getting it done plus how much inbound will need to be worked day in an day out just wishful thinking on my part but 150 or there abouts sounds good to me!!!!and remember 120 guys take 60 guys out for p/d so thats leaves 60 guys to work the freight with vac.coming in summer i think 150 is just about right?

Your thinking is correct if we are doing 1000 to 1300 bills a night .But Bruce from yellow who gave us our preshift came right out and said that there was going to be some changes in service areas as of March 1st. HE claimed he didn`t know what they`d be(yea right) but with Oshkosh becoming a gainer in this change I assume you can figure out what`s going bye bye.I heard,and this is strictly rumor ,that they would be coming as far south as West Bend from Oshkosh and like I said that is rumor, but the Yellow guy did say there would be some changes, that is fact.

I hope and pray that the list is more than 120 but I`m just doing the math with the numbers they gave us, so take that for what it`s worth

no not that many in jan or feb but as the year goes on and the frt picks up i can see that many on any givin day besides i said it was only wishful thinking as far as wishing MR.K.A ANYTHING NEVER WILL I SAY ANYTHING BUT GOOD THINGS ABOUT HIM AFTER ALL HE IS THE DEVIL IN DISGUISE AND LIES WITH THE FLEAS ON MY DOGS A$$!!!!! NOW BACK TO THE FRT. HOW IS IT THAT EVEN ON A SLOW DAY AT 313 (ROADWAY) THEY PICK UP 600 TO 800 BILLS AND YELLOW GETS 350 TO 500 TO ME THAT SAYS 1000 TO 1300 BILLS A DAY PLUS INBOUND THE FRT. MUST BE WORKED EVERYDAY TO MAKE SERVICE SO MY WISHFUL THINKING IS 150 GUYS AS OF MARCH 2 2009!!!
