I have heard of 3 reps quitting to work for competitors recently...hmmm , what do they know?
Management always knows more..could it be their integrity as a salesman workn for yrc is compromised? Or recent pay cuts and company cars being taken away soon is forcing yrc's reps to leave.

I also spoke to a major shipper who said yrc has already slashed rates 10% to get more business..



If yrc does make it....who will sell? And who will want to?
 
well i'll change my verbage i know of 3 quitting....this is a fact and their pay cut and losing company cars is a fact....they ahve to either buy a car that is less than 2 years old or buy the car the now use....for a car allowance...who would want to sell? you start losing experienced managers and salesman?.....its not ust because of pay cuts.

do u really think the company is disclosing all the facts, you know what they want u to know.the union knows what they want them to know.its an us against them mentality as is and always will be
 
well I have been saying this for years.......Get beautiful female college grads who have a marketing degree and turn them loose and you will see freight like never b4.....yrc has too many old farts who are lazy.......just my opinion........:TR10driving03:........I brought this up to a terminal manager years ago and he laughed in my face........:TR10driving03:
 
Long time YRC sales rep John P. just quit last week. Rumored he went to regional carrier Milan Express right down the street from 257! Things must me getting really bad since John had around 20 years with Yellow/YRC and was a former dock supervisor and good sales rep with a good customer following! I'm sure he took a lot of good customers with him! I heard taking away the company car was the last straw for him! They better get someone good to replace him, and keep the sales reps out there happy and getting us more freight!

What about new guy chief sales officer? With no transportation industry experience?

one of our reps quit for ABF. They're training our old idiot dispatcher that piszed off many a customer to be a sales boy. Now he can pisz em off in person. They must be getting really desperate

trust me ABF will put him through his paces. If he can't cut the mustard he will be gone. You either do it the ABF way or the highway.

Someone must have listened, we've got a 23 or 24 year old very pretty recent college Grad that just came on at 653.

Yep, when a Pretty, Young, Intelligent Female Sales Person comes to talk, ( Assuming it's a He)(He is at the Disadvantage) man was made with only enough blood to run one head at a time! She will get the Freight!!!!
 
Salesmen have a way of knowing when it's time to leave without being asked. A lot of second rate salesman should be going now with the merge. Both Yellow and Roadway sales people find will work with the competition
 
They say salesman are always the first to know what is going on. The first though may be the Vice President of Finance, and we had 3 of them the last couple of years, When these guys start jumping ship in a company, look out below. Order of Company Knowledge is: VP Finance, Salesman, Driver, Spotter, Dockman, Management Sup, Zollars, Teamster Union Reps., Hoffa.

At the top of this page where it says Unofficial LTL Trucking Co. then YRC, click on the YRC. That will bring up a page of YRC threads, on the top left it says start new thread. Click that then let er rip.
