I'm just asking...since we are hiring up 1000 new employees.wouldn't be to smart to do that if they were planning to merge all the units together.let's hope holland new penn and reddaway can merge as one unit.were already serving one and two day lanes.

i like to know where they think they can find 1000 drivers, let alone 1000 drivers that want to work for a a pay reduction and no pension.

I would really like to know how they could find $1000 much less 1000 tractors. I don't see any benefit to merging if there is no duplication of coverage now.

it would be nice to see them open back up in areas where the regionals are currrently not at....example parts of georgia, arkansas, texas, oklahoma, and kansas but thats more than likely a pipe dream...

Must be nice to have a retirement! I will never get to see one! give me back my 15% and take your pension and stick it up your arse! if the company gave me a 401k i would be fine with that, what does everyone think of a 401k instead of pension?

that just might be the plan cracker.

Personally I think I would be waaay better of if I only had a fraction of the money contributed in my name put into a 401k.
But unions and 401k don't seem to mix. I guess it's because there is less to control.

Yes but that is to satisfy the government requirement that a 401k be made available to all employees. And there is no matching or contribution from the company like in a lot of other places. (well at least until the economy got worse and the companies took that away.)
My 401/Ira from other places has done better than cspf has with my money. I jut have to pay attention to it.
