Semi caught landing legs at Grantville AL.Train crossing,Train came, trailer is scrape

Weirdest/Saddest(?) part of article:
The driver, Herbert Brown from Birmingham, got out and attempted to raise the landing gear by hand.
Even though he was a Schneider driver, how many drivers are not able to secure Landing Gear in the UP POSITION prior to driving??

Agreed. I see it all night long, 1/2 up, 1/3 up. I just shake my head. Just plain laziness. Although, D.O.T. says 4 inches is legal, that may be, but we all know on high crown roads and tracks, that's not gonna cut it.
:shift:

Plus with all the rubber, road kill, and other debris on the road, who would want to run the risk of damaging the legs?!
