Yellow | SENATORS ARE RESPONDING......................

If the Teamsters are not going to stand up for our pensions, then they need to take all the restrictions away after we retire. If we want to drive part time after we retire, let us do that. No RESTRICTIONS.

OK Guys and Dolls, I got this printed in the newspaper, see for your self at, limaohio.com, editorial page. Here it is, something anybody can get printed in any paper in the country. This is not one sided, but lets the masses know of the information we have at this time. I have already received phone calls, asking what to do next. Aim High, send letters ( not emails ) to the President Obama, tell him your story of how you will be personally devastated financially. Also follow up with a letter, not email, to our Executive Director, Thomas C. Nyhan. 9377 West Higgins Road Rosemont, Illinois 60018-4938. This action is also asked of the Pension rights activist center. The power of the Pen, at least try to save your pension or most of it. If you do not fight your pension , no one else will.

SCHEMES TO UNDERMINE THE MIDDLE CLASS WILL HAUNT RETIREES
The Omnibus spending bill HR83 included an amendment H RES 776 to remove Erisa, the pension protection act, which has been law for over 40 years which prevented reducing current retiree’s benefits. Congressman Kline R-Minn. and Miller D-Calif. Drafted the amendment, and slipped it into the spending bill at the last minute. Every Senator and the President , were informed that the amendment had been attached and only debated for seven minutes and decided to keep it in. They chose to ignore, the pension rights groups, AARP, unions and pension plans.
This link shows the seven minute discussion of the amendment starting at the 39 minute mark. At the end, someone said, “This is the very best thing we ever did or the worst thing we have ever done”.

I know this bill, may never be reversed. I also know some action is needed to make the funds stay solvent. However it calls for 10 million current retirees to have pension cuts if they are in one of 1400 multi-employer funds; Three million within 6 to 9 months, will see cuts up to 60%. The reason for this letter, is to inform retirees affected that do not know, so they can get ready for the cut. This bill is devastating not only to the individuals affected, but also to the tax base of every city and state. Many retirees will not survive financially with these severe cuts. Just think of the economic impact it will have on retail sales and restaurants.

Thank you HEMMY, Again you are a great American. You may want to add when sending someone to truckingboards, send them to YRC site and then to Senators are Responding, or something Freightmaster 1, has posted. If they spend too much time looking at other companies web site, they will give up and not know what to think. Just an observation. I want everyone to do this. It will get printed. We can then, move to step two. Flood the White house with actual mail. Its just me ESP!

Thank you for taking the time to contact me about the fiscal challenges facing our nation. Like you, I believe it is critical for Congress to responsibly manage our tax dollars and pay our bills.
As you know, one of Congress' primary responsibilities is to pass annual appropriations bills that fund the government. Agreeing to funding levels in a timely fashion allows the government to make good on existing commitments like thoseto improve our infrastructure, invest in small businesses, fund education programs, and maintain a strong national defense.
When Congress fails to enact funding legislation, as it did in October 2013, the federal government shuts down and our economy suffers. In fact, according to the Office of Management and Budget, the American economy lost between $2 billion and $6 billion in economic output as a result of the 2013 shutdown.
On December 13, 2014, the Senate passed the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act (P.L. 113-235) by a vote of 56 to 40, with my support. The legislation ensured that the government would not shut down for the second time in as many years and provided funding to most federal agencies through fiscal year 2015.
Although the bill was not perfect, passing this annual appropriations bill is very important because it avoids another shutdown and provides a greater degree ofeconomic certainty to families and businesses. As your Senator, I will continue to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to encourage Congress to make responsible choices about how to allocate tax dollars, just as Hoosier families and businesses do when they must make tough decisions about how to manage their budgets.
It is a privilege to represent you and all Hoosiers in the Senate. Your continued correspondence is welcome and helps me to better represent our state. I encourage you to write, call, or email if my office can ever be of assistance. You can also check out my Facebook page and follow me on Twitter by visiting my website.

Make it a hand written letter. By the way I just looked up both of your senators. They both voted for the spending bill, which means that they voted for your cuts. Thanks, Its, just me ESP

I sent a nasty e-mail to my congressman also after he sent me numerous e-mails on how he could never support that proposal that included Obama's immigration.. Well I guess he saw it was close to his Christmas vacation and he probably had plans so he voted yes to it along with almost all of the congressmen in PA.. I told him he was an embarrassment to PA.. I am still waiting for a response.. Doubt if I get one though..

crazy, that is what you felt, so why not say it in a way you cannot get arrested. Everyone needs to let them know you are not happy and cannot afford the cuts. We will most likely still see cuts, but not as steep. This has to be a united effort, like miracle on 34th street, bags and bags of mail. OK, it is just me ESP
