Airlines/customer service/hair pulling

In that order I might add.

Booked round trip tickets for my stepdaughters three weeks ago.

They fly as unaccompanied minors, extra fee... understandable and grateful to have the service. We have always paid an extra $50 on each end of the flight to have a flight attendant take them by the hands and seat them on the plane and take them by the hands and escort them off the plane, no extras no benefits, just make sure someone with an ID drops them off and picks them up (as if they would go with anyone else, any potential kidnapper would have a helluva cat fight on their hands in public) Fine, pay an extra $100 bucks on top of the tickets.

The flight out was as expected, we sent Brian's ex $50 to put them on the plane and we would catch the $50 sending them back, no fuss.

They failed to inform us that during the girls spring break, rates went UPand carry on sized luggage went down. NOW it is $100 dollars BOTH ways AND their luggage had to be checked going back, add another $40 for bags and for ***** and giggles DON'T WARN US!

Oh yeah, that luggage we paid extra for... didn't make it, yup they LOST it. OH and while your at it you have to tell them (Frontier) of the loss within 4 hours of your flight touching down, however when Brian's EX goes to look for a Frontier airlines counter and finds out that there isn't a counter for that particular airline in that airport, and you'll have to report it via a telephone number that takes a master degree to find, and once you call it... NO ONE ANSWERS IT, NOW what?~


I realize I am having a fit all over the place right now, and it IS NOT TRUCKING RELATED..

We are already sucking wind as it is with the accident, buying a new car, my job that isn't really a job because they don't have work for us, Brian's broken ankle that the doctor STILL won't release him from yet, not that it matters since HIS employer hardly has any hours for those guys either.

I am on the brink of picking up a bottle, and either falling in it or bashing someone's head in with it. Whichever course of action seems best fitting and appropriate at the moment.​

I thank GOD my recently retired Dad decided to tag along with Brian to the airport today to keep him and the girls company, because all Brian had was $150 bucks to get him to Denver and get the girls on the plane, food and gas. They wouldn't have made it if he wasn't there to help, which is embarrassing, but when you need help at least he was there to help.



I am exhausted, worn out and really tired of the fight.

We all need somewhere to vent. Truckingboards works for quite a few, just checkout the YRC Forum. Occasionally my wife will ask me, who were you talking to while in the shower. Actually, I was giving her all kinds of hell, but felt much better after getting it out of my system. Just going off by yourself and having a good loud argument, has always worked for me.

I won't even go into the personal disturbing details of my day.

Two hours on the phone later and countless numbers called with only answering machines, Brian finally tracked down someone that could help and the girls should get their luggage tomorrow. Along with it, Peanuts homework, and a whole study Punkin' and myself did on Ute Indian arrowheads that we found and minerals in this area. She was devistated over the "show and tell" project we put together. Not to mention their blankies and lovelies they had packed in them.

I have had enough, I am going to bed and hopefully things will get better after a night's rest.

it's funny how you mention "Frontier", and yet...the ads here are for 2 different airlines.....!!!

take the bottle, preferably a filled one...pop the cork, or unscrew it..

guzzle it down.....


sometimes, when we least expect it, someone is there to help out, your dad may have "sensed" something would be needed, this is why he went. no other reason.

dad's are good for this "sense" they have.

They flew it out to Little Rock on Tuesday, and it sat in baggage claim next to the turnstiles for two days before the girls mom went looking for it at the airport. No one called despite the dozens of calls and emails we made. No one put them behind a counter, just left them there to be taken by anyone. Total incompetence on the airlines part.

and you paid for it...!!

total incompetence is an "American thing"....with out it.....there would be too much red tape to have to go through, to make sure the incompetence was still there.

best no to get too angry, upset or go postal about this..

be a "Proud American" and stand up tall for the incompetence of others...!!!
