Open letter to Teamsters General President O’Brien: We demand answers on layoffs!

We workers have every right to take all action deemed necessary to protect our jobs, regardless of whether you choose to sanction them or not. If you will not fight the layoffs, then get out of the way so that UPS workers can do it ourselves.

I can remember when a different union was trying to seize control away from the IBT about 15 years ago a number of teamsters laughed now 15 years later they cry.

Don't kid yourself. In the end, the real power is always in the hands of the workers. They can bring a union into their workplace and they also can decertify and eliminate a union if they choose.
