Has any of you stopped and think about this one?...........

If Leo and his Gang went to all the trouble to send out those DVDs to the employees recently tearing down the IBT, and UPS Corp said they knew nothing of this......does it not seem stranage to you that UPS Corp has taken over and has signed a "card Check" agreement and has done an about face on the whole deal?

Goes to show....thet UPS CORP has the final word.......not Leo!..........KK:bgroovy:

The letter that my TM read said UPS Freight Senior Management, which is Leo and the old Overnite group, was the ones who signed the agreement. My TM stated that they UPS Freight Senior Management did not want anything that happened to employees in the past to happen again. Looks like someone was looking out for the employees.

It's the smartest thing for UPS to do . They just have to stand back and see what happens . As I've said before , they make plenty of money with their Teamster workforce in their package division and they have the stability that the contract brings to prevent any work stoppages ( strikes ) .

A contract will bring black and white guidelines handling issues of seniority , where the MC guys fit into the picture , and many other " what happens here " questions .

Don't get me wrong . They'll get it squared away eventually with or without the union . They just want a smooooth transition without any waves being made .

I would assumed he meant thousands of ULP charges filed by the employees for unfair labor practices over the years during the last campaign, which caused a lot of stress and problems for the employees and their familes?

That was very nice of them to think for the employees for once.

How can Leo & Co. be so much against the employees wanting a Union and then doing an about face with a card check?

I bet it was stressfull for him to have to be told by UPS Corp to do so?.......KK

I wonder is this has card check has anything to do with 1 IBT upcomming election and 2 Hoffa wanting to have early contract talks for the package aggrement!!!!!!!!!

Actually it could , but I am quite sure regardless of the issues this move was inevitable.
