I don't care if the city driver(s) use it, just at least try to match the times, so that I'm not looking for a unit when I'm called- I'm on the extra board and since the city has all the new trucks to destroy, we're left putting their junk together to get on the road. I'm not coming in an hour early to do this, I left my assigned extra board unit clean, fueled and usually with a dolly, so I can make my gate... I usually run on my tens, or I don't run. Have the same respect, that is a joke here...I usually S/S with the same city driver, and it's usually not a problem. This post was about a rebid, and for some reason the extraboard units were all changed or moved to different numbers, my unit was put three x/b down and now were being told to drive what comes with the bid- I don't think asking for the same unit on the x/b should be a issue. I've changed three units in the last six months, it used to never be this way. I drove my last unit, with over five bid changes @ 6 years, I've been here 11yrs. with a clean record- 1.5 million miles, I rarely call in sick, and I usually run anything, anytime when available including Sundays if needed. Am I asking for too much? No, they are not my keys, but when you put over 500,000 miles on a unit, I think I covered a few payments.
