i have a 2010 Toyota Camry, 4 cyl, and it is a PZEV (or partial zero emissions vehicle) *aka* a California emissions vehicle. even though i do not live in CA, many of the cars here have the CA emissions.

as such our emission warranty is for 15 years, or 150,000 miles.

they do not say that we can only use Toyota parts, however, it makes no sense for me to buy an emissions part, when the warranty will cover it.

they do say however, that if they find the non Toyota part to be a problem, that might impair the performance of the vehicle.

they do go on to say that Toyota may deny coverage if you do unapproved vehicle modifications.


so, for as long as i will own this car, i will take it to the dealership, as even a spark plug that might go bad, is covered...anything emissions related...

as all the repairs are free to me...
