FedEx Freight | CEO Raj Subramaniam in a letter to staff.

I remember a time... a very long time ago when a driver was looked at with respect and was the backbone of the company. Now we are looked at as outsiders... talked about without any respect behind closed doors. Gone are the days of being valued and it is apparent by what is done. My job your job it is not respected and never will be we are looked at like second class citizens the bottom of the barrel. Funny how without us "2nd class fedex citizens" there wouldn't be those big nice bonuses and stock options that is never talked about. It is a puppet world here and until the little puppets stand up we are just dangling from strings.
You are correct but, drivers are to blame for there treatment. Look at today's driver pool. Most couldn't find there way out of a paper bag unless they had google maps and a gps. Look how they dress, talk, and even smell. we are the product of are own demise. Remember respect is earned NOT given or as we said in the military "You salute the rank not the person.

Been in trucking for 25 plus years, seen more than a couple of trucking companies go out of business because of their largest shipper left the market. (Went under, was sold, changed carriers, etc.).
anyone that been in truck any leanth of time knows that your mom and pop companies, small companies, are the ones that bring in more per shipment the some of those big companies. The big place want all kinds of discounts were the M&P just want a far price..

Can we say NEMF

There is no reason, even billions of revenue, to handle freight at break even or a loss. That’s just salesman’s talk. The explanation that it enables load factor for linehaul, is bogus, a loss is a loss. Ask YRC how that’s working out for them.
That's right. It was one of the first things XPO did when they took over Con-way. Get rid of money lossing freight
