Their trying to sell some Yellow equipment. That is the only way YRC will make any money. Can't sell any of the Roadway tractors, because they are all garbage that are ready for junk yards to collect. Who the heck would buy a jiff-lock tractor, especially in these days?

Are you so sure these are former YELLOW trucks ? Look at the specs and extras Additional Equipment Dual Tanks Tilt/Telescopic Wheel Cruise Control
AM/FM Cassette

Tell you where the Roadway equipment is going ........"south of the border" brother. Had some people at our barn buying up all the old equip going to Nicaraga. Probably hauled a load down 2 texas for free just to pay for the fuel to get there.

Too bad they couldn't sell off and take some of the ******* drivers with the ******* equipment to Nicaraga. Some of them share the same work rules down there, as they do up here.

If these are YRC tractors,it seems like a high price to pay for a single axle unit . A 3 and a half year old tractor with 370,000 miles is not very much,(They usually put more miles on them than that before they change the oil) but the heavy truck market is saturated with tractors and trailers driving the prices pretty low. For $34,500 it seems you could find more truck for your money. This is not a good time to buy or sell heavy trucks. Besides this,I thought most of YRC`s equipment was leased. I know Roadway didn`t have many,if any internationals. One thing for sure,if these are YRC tractors,it doesn`t look good for a company to sell off their late model equipment to get operating capital. When any company sells off assets and gets to the point where the debt is more that the assets, long term job security is not a sure thing.

So what's stopping the sellers from dropping in a $29 AM/FM/Cassete on the deal? As for $34K selling price, does anyone ever buy on the asking price???????

This thinking is what caused our barn to lose 30% of our customers after March 1st,2009 when all the brothers in ORD decided they didn't like each other. The term "dumb truck driver" really hit home after witnessing this infighting. Something the DTD has no control over.

when i used to P&D up by Yellows Newburg terminal they had bought a bunch of tractors from American Freightways and repainted them, these might be those.
