It just shows they expect little resistance from an unorganized bunch of dumb truck drivers! I sure hope they get a surprise! Leadership is going to have to come from the local level, you know it's not coming from the national level.Has anyone read the article about an interview with a YRC bigshot who said that in the next contract they wanted "utility workers" pushed in the next contract?? Read in on Freightwaves.com.
We already have utility drivers, last COO brought them back on YRC end.Has anyone read the article about an interview with a YRC bigshot who said that in the next contract they wanted "utility workers" pushed in the next contract?? Read in on Freightwaves.com.
I would go for the speed limit . 75 would give you a good run for the hills.....So did the UNION approve this WHOLE WEEK they want city guys to run the road ? and do we take our seniority with for that week ? and IF they really wanted to move the freight they would turn the trucks up to 75 mph and raise the pay to match the non-union pay scale !
I would be afraid of the steer tires.... I have a new set that have been curbed really bad in the city75? Sounds scary to me. the fenders are flapping on a lot of this old junk at 62.
They gave you a truck with fenders.....spoiled much?75? Sounds scary to me. the fenders are flapping on a lot of this old junk at 62.
,Nothing to file on. Union gave company its blessing. I read the printout myself.
Really , we basically have no work rules anymore with whats city or road work and in 2019 get ready for the "Flexibility and Utility Driver" rule changes for everybody road & city !Nothing to file on. Union gave company its blessing. I read the printout myself.
Yes I filed on it CC to company labor rep Andrew Cook and local union rep. Carolina supplement allows it in certain circumstances but not to subterfuge Road supplement. By the company not extending domiciled/foreign bid and open board drivers who has adequate amount of hours prior to use of local cartage they where in violation so we loaded them up on monetary grievances. One vague blanket grievance for warning then we had turn bids file on it. Next day city stayed in their classification and our turn bids are all running 500+ daily. Open board exhausted going out on sundays. Problem solved in SpartanburgSo have ANY Line Haul Stewards or Driver's filed a grievance in this B.S. ???????????????????????
That’s they it’s supposed to be never in reverse. It just shows they expect little resistance from an unorganized bunch of dumb truck drivers! I sure hope they get a surprise! Leadership is going to have to come from the local level, you know it's not coming from the national level.
City drivers are running road on the clock. Anything over your 8 is OT, which means weekends are time and a half.So if a city driver that already has 40 or more hours on the clock takes a road run does it have premium pay?
