Dispatching / Routing

Anybody else have a router that works in a different state? I understand that the computer sets up routes to be as efficient as possible, but in my opinion there is no substitute for local knowledge. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

My just prints out all the stops for the day and throws different color darts at them. The darts represent the trucks, lol.

The computer thinks it is a truck. A inch on the computer is like 10 min from the stop you just left.

Local knowledge is key, but computers and routers just don"t seem to get all the varibles, rush hour traffic, noon hour traffic, conflicting deliveries with other venders, construction projects and the prospect of getting into or out of a stop is easier if done differently, plus they think its all so simple and all so easy.
