At the ripe old age of 18, I took off to Fla. to make my own money and landed a job in a feed mill loading train cars at an orange juice factory for minimum wage. My job was to run the pellet shoot filling train cars from the top. I had to do 6 a day. I thought, piece of cake, pull the handle, fill and move on. Oh no, not so fast my super said, once it got to the top, he handed me a coal shovel and said jump in and start shoveling. I thought I was going to die after 2 days. Sure knocked a chip off my shoulder. I thought, can it get any worse than this!
