Sounds like more of the same to me. There isn't an LtL in existance that isn't down as much, if not significantly more than FxF. Just the state of logistics currently. It will turn, FxF will be fine.

The main reason for this IMO is FedEx isn't budging on price, and walking away from some business. I could see that in a booming economy, but not in a borderline recession if not recession.

Our yard looks like a trailer manufacturing plant on our empty line. We have empties staged every where. On Friday the last day of June. Supposedly the busiest month of LTL next to September we had fifteen drivers sitting at home Friday night!
That's with people taking CC days and vacations.
