The main problem is you do not have a "prior history" of usage to draw on. Therefore you cannot really predict the effect of the meds. Your doctor will probably only certify a lower catagory/potentcy of pill that you have taken for a week or so, before he certifies you as being safe on it.
I was prescribed tramadol once and it did nothing for me(aspirin is stronger). Drugs do different things to different people. Try it and see if it makes you sleepy or if it even helps your problem. Then decide for yourself whether or not to take it and whether you want to drive with it.
