Did anyone else get the memo about a driver valet system 'in effort to curtail overtime'?
Or is this specific to our OpCo?

Where are you out of Lizard? We had a couple of our supervisors helping out in Chicago too.We had a superviser go to Chicago for a week to help out last year
when he came back he told me something that blew my mind.
when a driver was out on his run he had to keep driving and unloading till
he was out of hours they were then told to park the truck and they sent a cab to
pick them up and take them back to the yard. This was done on a daily basis.
WTF
Bigblk, on the other side of the mtn , I've worked 65-70 every week minus really just a handful of them, for two years. It was the norm for me, and a lot of other drivers. But I heard corporate came in and said cut overtime. Lizard, we've never been told to get a cab back to Sysco, but we work up to our hours, then supervisors run to pick guys up and bring them in. Yes, GT, he's on shuttle. I've got experience in doubles, but just finished the Sysco test, so that now we can switch off when needed. He doesn't like shuttle, misses route and the customers. But here my 1000 cases a day are jammed into a 32', where over the mtn I'd have a 42' or longer. I miss the room, lol. I'd welcome some windshield time once in a while! And he says hi back. :) Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner
