FedEx Freight | Employee buy out

had drivers go to clt to pick up trucks. many trucks in chs are not road worthy
Having that issue at my EOL terminal, everything has 500k miles+ and is broke down constantly. Majority of our fleet has been towed to vendors or is sitting at shops right now.

We have atleast two trucks burning through oil like its nothing, they'll probably be sold instead of doing a overhaul on the motors.

Yeah buy out a driver that will actually do his job, and replace him with a lazy one who won't.
did that when they started hiring off the streets and starting them at top pay. and if they had a vacation scheduled they were permitted to take it. Cant wait for vacation bidding to start and they fall into their seniority slot...betting some quit. As for pre and post trips. Sure could tell some horror stories >>

Those guys complain the most, it drives me crazy. Try starting at step 1 in progression, working 30 hours a week and being told you can't take a day off because the calendar is full. These guys get runs and hours, time off when they want and throw a fit when they have a day on the dock.
