FedEx will raise FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery rates on average 5.9 percent Jan. 7, the express delivery giant said Nov. 30.
The actual effective increase will be 4.9 percent, after factoring in a 1 percentage point reduction in fuel surcharges, the company said.
FedEx Express announced in September it would increase its package and freight rates a net 3.9 percent on average on Jan. 7.
FedEx Freight, the industrial trucking arm of the Memphis-based company, raised rates 6.9 percent on average in July.
