Our terminal has been bombarded with work, pickups and deliveries, ever since we were shut down for 2 days last week because of the storm.
I thought we were playing catchup for them 2 days for the last week now, but a road driver told me other wise. (Of course you can't take it as gospel cuz, after all it just from the rumor mill of a road driver)
He said the merger of FED EX Freight and Nat'l, their system can't handle all the work coming in for them from both sides of Freight - Nat'l, they are turning away customers because of that. So naturally we are picking up alot of what they're not getting.
So my questions are, have any of you heard the same thing? Does anybody know if there is any truth to this? And has the freight levels picked up dramatically in the last week?
