Carlisle is loading and unloading them every day. Looks to me like a huge waste of time.Back around the end of Feb-Beginning of March, they started loading sled from 408(ue transfer terminal) to Elkhart
I worked the dock for 31 years. 5 year break put me out switching..Carlisle is loading and unloading them every day. Looks to me like a huge waste of time.
No pic. Just wondering what these things look like. They sound ridiculous. To tell the truth.
Looks like 12 skid placements. What happened to high and tight.Thanks. That's brand new. Wait about six months. Lol.
It's just makes no sense. Unload a trailer? Or sled?
What's the saving? Savings? Seems they will leave alot of trailer space unused.
P. S.
Now that I see one loaded. Ya. Wasted space. Not that it looks bad or stacked wrong.
It's basically the way cargo planes are loaded.
How much weight can they put on 1 of those? The main thing behind all this imho, is to do as much or more as now with less trailers. In the training video's they say a trailer should only be the dock for around 15mins. Pull a loaded sled out shove one in put the trailer back on the road. Also with some of the long ugly freight they take on, it easier to load/unload from the side of the sleds.
