talked to drivers from other companies that have been using them for 2 or more years. they say they suck. constant issues in general. you can keep your fake-liner!!
Good looking ride.
Where can you stick a CB at, I'm getting a new one in a couple weeks?? Haven't seen the inside of one yet, thanksGood looking ride.
Ask Roogie to post a photo of his CB placement.Where can you stick a CB at, I'm getting a new one in a couple weeks?? Haven't seen the inside of one yet, thanks
Be honest PD, you hate all things fedex! It wouldn't matter what kind of tractor the company assigned you, you'd complain.talked to drivers from other companies that have been using them for 2 or more years. they say they suck. constant issues in general. you can keep your fake-liner!!
We've had them in CLT for good while now and like you, I was skeptical at first when I saw selector switches...especially being molded in plastic...but to my surprise they've actually held up pretty well. I personally don't drive one daily, although I have driven them, and we haven't had any problem with the switches yet....yet.The one thing that I don't like is the selector switch for the forward reverse. It seems really cheap and wonder if this will be a problem in the future.

Don't you just hate those twin factory mounted antennas...regardless of the truck? You're lucky if you get out past the hood and you can forget hearing anything....unless somebody is right in front/behind ya!! All they're good for is burning up a radio!CB goes overhead, small opening. I don't run one anymore so I don't know how it works. There are 2 factory mounted antennae however.

Like Roogie said, the CB goes overhead. The opening accepts a Cobra 29 and Smaller. It requires a Small Star screwdriver to remove the face plate and also requires that you use the side nuts on your CB. The wiring terminals are in a cramped space and more difficult to hook up than they should be. The overall compartment is Very Cramped as well. This is one of the worst designs that I have ever seen in my 30 years. With that said overall I like the truck......Racer
When them freightliner antennas get ice or frost coated. They bang against the fairing and about drive you crazy. The kw is more solid in my opinion. But the freightliner ride is a little better and quieter.Don't you just hate those twin factory mounted antennas...regardless of the truck?
