Was told by a member of management that Monday going start Handing out Furlough in the Southeast! We had 3 drivers last month take volunteer 4 weeks off. Guess didn’t have enough volunteers with the drop in Freight.

There has been a lot of talk floating around that next week will get messy. There have already been a bunch of layoffs in the system. And freight seems to be continuing to slow down.

7 drivers and 2 dock workers here. Our inbound is still decent, outbound a bit slow. If you are at a barn that's pretty slow, it could be bad with the layoffs.

If they recognize our daily function within the company as being extraordinarily hazardous, requiring extra compensation/incentive to continue performing that function...shouldn't it be retroactive to the date of the shutdown? :stirthepot:
How about letting us access our 401k like the president says we can. That would be a plus

I would be very hesitant to withdraw any 401k money . That and social security is all many will have to provide income during retirement from Xpo . Anything you do now with it will have a great impact on you retirement years . Withdrawing money on a down balance is not wise .

We are talking about a bunch of truck drivers. They have made a whole bunch of mistakes and done several things that would be described as ill fated. Not a lot of them are gonna live long enough anyway. And that's exactly how they see it. Retirement is something for people that have had it easy their whole lives.

We ain't getting nothing. Remember how he was going to show us the love ? How did that work out ????

Nashville....

25 getting layed off....10 weeks then brought back.

Going by company seniority... not terminal seniority.

Word is 24 will be asked to volunteer for layoff for 10 weeks in NCH and they will go from bottom for those that don't opt for it ! Sad times !!
