Not a great 1st qtr .... OR slide from 85.7 1/23 to a 90.0 1/24 hauling cheap big box freight will not produce a great OR ask Yellow Freight

To be fair, most carriers deteriorated in 1st quarter. January 2024 had bad weather verses January 2023. March 2024 had 2 less workdays than March 2023. On top of that Easter and Good Friday were in March of 2024 but in April of 2023. Plus, carriers are seeing higher negative shipment growth (freight recession) in 2024 verses 2023.
