Got my vacation pay

Well, kinda. Got 53.33 hours. Out of 160 hours owed. In my world they still owe me 106.67 hours vacation.

And don't say I haven't accrued them yet. When I went to work for Jevic 15 years ago, you didn't accrue vacation. They can change the rules in the middle of the game all they want, they don't have anything with my signature saying I've agreed to the change.

All this does is screw up my unemployment.

I always got vaca pay as 1/52 of annual gross. So,this per hour stuff is total bull****

I was under impression from meeting at Burlco that this would NOT count against unemployment.

My husband spoke to the Unemployment office here in Ma...Vaca pay DOES NOT count against benefits...but again, this is in MA...

it should not hurt it was money owed to you. you were not working and collecting they were just slow in paying

Ok, I'm collecting out of NJ but in MD vacation pay reduces your award by that much for however many weeks you receive it. As does any severance package.

I'm collecting unemployment out of New Jersey also. They said a severance package doesnt affect your unemployment. But you have to tell them its a severance package and not a continuance of pay. There is a huge difference. I started receiving unemployment while I was still getting my weekly severance package.
