Yellow | Gps on the hand held Nextels

We just an e-mail this morning about GPS being turned off on over 900 P & D Drivers. That is both Yellow and Roadway. We had to sign it saying we would not tamper with the GPS. If we do, we will be terminated. So heads up on you guys that have done it.

HMMMMM I didnt no you could turn it off. I was told they could tell where the phone was within 3 feet.

The ticket is a windows mobile smartphone edition phone or any WM phone with google maps installed. It puts a little dot on the map and you don't need a garmin gps!

I hear the reason for the removal of the GPS is the 'every penny counts' theory. The cost of the GPS wasn't worth it........so they say.......but if u want to know how to turn it off go to the nextel site and check out the model number of the phone you have..........
