Can someone please explain how u log a trailer drop and hook in the hand held. For example take a loaded trailer from the yard to a distribution center drop that trailer and hook up to a empty trailer.

There’s a couple ways you can do it.
Dispatch can set you up on that trailer as a “spot-pick”. It will look just like a delivery but will have an SP in the top left corner as you look at it on the handheld.
Or, you can do it yourself by going into the “add a stop stop” screen. If you’re on the yard, set yourself up on a spot-pick and input customer name. If you’re not on the yard, select “yard spot-pick” and do the same. Once you did that, exit the “add a stop” screen, and enroute yourself like any other stop.
Enroute yourself to the SP and arrive just like any other stop.
When you arrive, push the “new” button, and it will give you 2 options: “spot-drop ” or “pick-hook”. Select “spot-drop” and this will drop the trailer that’s assigned to you. You may need to input seal number if you have one. Once you dropped, then you can “pick-hook” the new trailer the same way. Once you’ve done that, hit “exit” and return to the yard, etc.

I appreciate the help. Monday will be my first solo day and I keep questioning myself with how well I know the hand held

Just get a few guys cell numbers and call them if you have any ?'s
Don't get to worried about it, you will do fine , like said above get a few phone numbers just in case
