1994 was a joke. The union and the companies blew a chance to make big strides and didn't.

In that contract we struck to not allow four hour casuals. We have since allowed that to be.
We could have restructured the pension system it was raised to almost double that year a big mistake that has come to roost.

The companies showed they could not control us at this point and we should have kept it that way.
Allowing the placement of freight on the rails really dwindled our numbers and we should have addressed that in 1994. It all but doomed our pensions. And the forming of non union divisions was where we should have aim all our efforts. Thanks for asking.
