Line haul manager told me today Estes is taking all pintle hooks off trucks because Con-way and all the other companies don't have them. Conspiracy or laziness again by manager?

nope true story. Even though he does lie a lot.

This actually makes a lot of sense. Remove the pintle hooks from 6500+ tractors and sell them on craigslist. There's big money in used pintle hooks.
