Good old Ernie will be conducting the call... the same Ernie that was in on the 2013 negotiations and had this to say about the 2010 Begback...
"We need to act quickly to avoid things getting worse" and "it's vital that we protect our members 'benefit and retirement security'.

I just hope everyone that will be listening in on that call tonight will keep in mind what Ernie said when he was selling the 2010... 15% wage Begback.
"We need to act quickly to avoid things getting worse"... That begback got rejected and we all saw how things got worse... they were only able to spend $180 million on Panther just a short year and a half later.
"It's vital we protect our member's benefits and retirement security"... That's about what you would expect to hear from someone that's just selling a wage reduction.
They came for our wages... vacation and work rules last contract... and just because they will be giving everyone the raise they should of got back in 2013... the vacation back that they should of never received in the first place and maybe even some work rules return... that sure isn't a valid reason for a trade off for anything that could potentially jeopardize your future benefits and retirement security. IMO... that would just be trading one concession for another no matter what spin they may put on it.
