Doing ok here. Worked 5 days this week, made about 1300. I'm not complaining. I left Memphis Sunday night And went to Dallas. From there went up and down all over Texas. Easy running, decent money.
We do well, too well really uncle Sam sticks it to us.
1300 in 5 days... I was making that in 94....
In 1994... Now add another 1000 to it and that's my average weekly pay check...
1994 + 1000 = $2,994 a week driving a truck?? ..... He forgot to say, "ya all can be doing it too! It's just corporate greed why we are not making $70,000 more."
I think I talked to him at the Wafflehouse last week.
I think he meant in 1994 he was making $1300 a week plus another $1000 a week nowadays driving for UPS Freight. I'm sure you Estes drivers make more than $1,400 a week.

We are booming.. I don't know why or what the reason is... But we could use probably 5 road and 5 more city drivers....Considering how slow its been lately that $1300 to $1400 figure isn't to far off for me. Not gettin rich but enough to keep the little woman off my A$$. Don't know if competition is slow too or if we're the ones admitting to it.
Linehaul is like being a roll of paper towels. I'll just hang here till you need me, then roll out whatever you need to clean up the leftovers.

I wasn't bragging. I didn't run hard. I didn't want to. I've made much more in a week, but I'm getting older and don't have to make 100 grand a year to survive or be comfortable.
