What kind of work can a new hire in springfield expect. Lot of dock work? Do they have any lay down runs or system bids where you stay out all week?

FedEx doesn't have any lay down or system work. That was all systematically eliminated, replaced with switches, years ago.

Drivers do a lot of dock work in general at FedEx, though it's worse in the east where runs are shorter.

If you want daily home time in exchange for dock work, FedEx is hard to beat. If you want to get out there and do system work, you'd probably be a better fit at ODFL.

There are some lay down runs here and there throughout the system but there’s not many left.

We only have one lay down out of CLT left...it’s a PM run that usually makes it over halfway down the seniority board.
