Estes | Looking to move to Estes as Road Driver

If you're running out of Banning, try to get them to send you out of California. Phoenix, El Paso, Albuquerque, Denver, Salt Lake. Grtting stuck in CA for 5 days with 55mph speed and all the terminals close together will limit your miles.

The Bay area was called the Toilet Bowl among extraboard drivers. Stockton/Modesto, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, etc. Try not to get stuck running circles in that area.

They do the same thing up northeast U.S terminals close together and bop you around like a pinball machine low miles and a lot of drop n hooks

Don’t they use shuttle/combo drivers for short haul
Not really. I run extraboard out of a North Carolina terminal and have spent many nights in the northeast, many times up there the entire week. Yeah you can get some short hops but you can get some decent ones too. Just gotta keep it moving. Self dispatch / pre planning has improved the in and out speed tremendously, being able to see where the trailers are via street view has been a life saver as well, plus the extra $10 per dispatch over 10 dispatches can add up. A few years ago we had none of this. Before all of the new tech the northeast really was painful and slow going, now it’s just a minor inconvenience.
