Estes | Mandatory 6th day

All the ltl’s are going this way, create days, shell game with numbers, etc.
This is true. The customers that pay extra for expedited are always taking care of first, and the rest know general freight is general freight. It's about making the terminal look good on the books.

That's how it is in my area at least.the rules and policies at Estes very by region and terminals. Management likes to do whatever they want then play dumb when called out. Like if you were XB and asked why you were on the 6th day list they would say "oh yeah you don't have to work we just pulled all the drivers names and put them on a spread sheet and printed it". They get away with dumb ::shit:: because drivers are too afraid or are already brainwashed into thinking that's the only way.

Mandatory 6th day starting again at some terminals. They want the freight off the docks on the weekend so they can fix their numbers to make them look good. Several drivers believe as well as somebody in management is probably getting a bonus or something since they are always concerned so much about numbers. I wonder if management is working a 6th here or there? Then not have enough freight for some of the monday folks. They are starting to watch the numbers on the samsara as well as far as r.p.m.s, coasting and excessive idling time so the company can be more cost efficient. Of course a computer generated system gives the all the info they need on how a driver can be perfect. Id like to see management jump in one of the tractors and show us for a week how to be perfect.
All you have to say is Safety Break 392.3! Call OSHA and the FEDs if they force you to work.
