Three-panel court says judge must give clearer guidelines on how Moroun can avoid jail

The Michigan Court of Appeals on Monday said a local judge was in his rights to jail the owner of the Ambassador Bridge, Manuel “Matty” Moroun, and his lieutenant for contempt, but the duo needs more specifics about what they must do to go free.

The three-judge panel ruled that Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Prentis Edwards must specify what Moroun and Detroit International Bridge Co. President Dan Stamper must do to show the company has done its share on the $230 million Gateway Project, according to the Detroit Free Press. The DIB is expected to build an elevated access to the bridge from from I-75 and I-96 on the southwest side of Detroit.................
