I also know 2 ex CGW drivers and can tell you this. That terminal and the local 673 is the very ugly, weak stepchild of the other stronger Chicago locals, and every time a change of OPS occurs that terminal always seems gets reamed. I expect more of the same in the future.
I used to work there till 2009 when I got laid off. I received a callback and said NO THANKS !! That local is just like any other, has it's good and bad. There are a couple of good guys at Montgomery, but most are just jackasses out to screw the company and get whatever they can. They have a few guys there with over 30 years who won't retire. Used to be about a 130 man local board till March 09. then 23 guys took the transfer to Bolingbrook, and they took about 60% of the frieght business with that COO.
They called me back only because someone else resigned. You'll be a 10%r there for a loooooongtime. I can't speak for managment there, because all the top brass at Montgomery were either fired or quit within 12 months of me leaving.
